Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Animal Shelter Program Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for pet care and animal welfare. As a Program Coordinator, you will be responsible for organizing and overseeing various programs related to pet care and animal services.
Duties:
- Coordinate and manage pet care programs and events
- Work closely with staff, volunteers, and clients to ensure program success
- Provide assistance in handling animals, including dogs, cats, and other pets
- Assist in grooming and feeding animals as needed
- Maintain program documentation and records
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all animals participating in programs
- Handle customer inquiries and provide excellent customer service
Requirements:
- Previous experience in pet care, kennel management, or animal handling preferred
- Knowledge of animal care practices and procedures
- Strong customer service skills with a passion for working with animals
- Ability to handle various animals including dogs, cats, and equines
- Veterinary technician or assistant experience is a plus
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment
