Job Summary:
Pahrump Health and Rehabilitation Center is currently looking for a community relations professional to be our Marketing / Admissions Coordinator. This is a combined position; we desire a candidate that is able to use Relationship Marketing skills supplemented by social media skills. The ideal candidate will establish working relations/referral sources within the community to market Skilled Nursing Facility Services.
Essential Functions:
- Develop, plan, and implement advertising and promotion activities and publicity materials including print and electronic media.
- Maintain a close working relationship with the Director of Nursing Services and Business Office Manager to coordinate appropriate and efficient decisions about prospective admissions that are occurring.
- Maintain a working knowledge of federal and state regulations, reimbursement, and insurance (Medicare, Medicaid, Managed Care, etc)
- Make sales calls with various healthcare organizations including hospitals, physicians, assisted livings, etc., as well as community organizations including senior organizations, legal and financial professional referral sources
- Actively seek opportunities to promote Center.
- Prepare or direct preparation of public relations releases, special brochures, newsletters, advertisements, etc.
- Develop, oversee, and coordinate event planning.
- Manage the Community Relations Operating Budget
- Additional external responsibilities include:
- representing the Center at monthly civic meetings and trade show events
- attending networking luncheons
- sponsoring/coordinating community presentations (from Senior Centers to Nursing College fairs).
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities:
- Preferred: Point Click Care (PCC) experience
- Preferred: Relationship Marketing, social media skills and/or healthcare experience
- Ability to set the benchmark for branding and consistent creative excellence in the field.
- Ability to interact effectively either as a leader or as a member of a team, work collaboratively with other departments and outside contacts.
- Organizational and time management abilities, with the ability to implement and monitor progress for successful completion; work well under pressure and deadlines.
- Ability to adapt to changing assignments and multiple priorities.
- Compassion for and desire to work with the elderly.
- Strong computer literacy skills.
