Location: Georgia State University (GSU) Atlanta Student Health Clinic (located within the 75 Piedmont Avenue Downtown Atlanta Campus)
Type: Full-Time In-person at the GSU Atlanta Student Health Clinic
About One to One:
One to One Health is an innovative healthcare company that prides itself on delivering relationship-driven care. Our mission is to be the front door to healthcare – the go-to resource for every care journey, from an acute sick visit to a second opinion to expert navigation and care coordination. By partnering with employers and universities, we eliminate barriers to care by integrating 24/7 digital telehealth with physical clinics. Our enterprise services include student health, primary care clinics, virtual care, occupational health, wellness, and behavioral health. Our clients include school systems, manufacturers, utilities, and universities. Dr. Keith Helton, a 30-year primary care physician, founded One to One, driven by his passion to deliver the best healthcare outcomes with a focus on patient experience. We are dedicated to improving the lives of the over 300,000 patients we support, expanding his vision to “do good and help others.”
About the role:
This is an exciting opportunity for a provider to play an integral role in a transformative approach to student health. The position will draw on One to One Health’s unique ability to eliminate barriers to care by directly engaging students virtually, while maintaining the flexibility of care for students in-person at the student health clinic. This hybrid approach allows for maximizing clinical capacity, ensuring the GSU students receive best-in-class care with a virtual-first but in-person available modality. The ideal hybrid provider will take ownership of the 50,000 student patient panel and constantly innovate to engage patients and make the virtual-first approach a success through patient education, outbound engagement efforts, and creative outreach.
One to One Health is assuming management of the GSU Atlanta Student Health Clinic and integrating its virtual care service to the GSU Perimeter Campuses into a unified service to GSU’s 50,000 students. The hybrid provider will work from the Atlanta Campus Student Health Clinic to maximize the clinic’s in-person appointment availability while serving students virtually via One to One’s patient engagement platform where patients initiate encounters by text message and are then served via their optimal channel (text, encrypted app, phone call, or video). The GSU virtual operation is bolstered by One to One’s Virtual Team who can take over virtual care when in-person care demand surges, freeing the hybrid providers to deliver in-person care at the clinic. The amount of virtual versus in-person care delivered by hybrid providers will vary based on student demand and should grow over the year as patient education ensures students are aware of the ability to text for on-demand care.
We envision a fully interoperable team of providers working together from the clinic, maximizing daily visits and serving patients with a virtual-first approach. They will seamlessly direct patients to the clinic as needed, with no artificial distinctions, focusing on efficient care and the best possible outcomes for students. This virtual-first model will evolve through dynamic outreach and a unified clinical team innovating their outreach and promotion of the model.
