Job Description:
We are seeking to hire an individual to join our QC Department (on the floor) in performing inspections, recording and entering data collected. Additionally, this individual will maintain quality standards for manufactured and purchased parts by developing, training and enforcing QC standards.
Qualities the Ideal Candidate Will Possess:
- Proficient in First Article Inspections and performing Sampling Plan inspections for Acceptable Quality Levels and final product review.
- Well-versed in the use of quality precision tools such as micrometers, tape measure, digital/dial calipers, gage blocks and gage pins
- Knowledge on management of non-conforming materials and MRB processes
- Detail oriented, organized, and thorough with excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Dependable self-starter that is analytical
- Leadership skills
- Computer skills
- Resolute and process minded.
Responsibilities:
- Read, interpret, and review drawings.
- Perform First Article Inspections in the areas of sheet metal fabrication, welding and powder coating.
- Inspect incoming purchased parts, work in process or completed work to determine whether the work meets specifications and plan requirements.
- Follow QC procedures for all non-conforming work.
- Assist in documenting new procedures and creating work instructions as directed by QA.
- Work with QA and managers to identify approaches and methods to improve overall quality.
- Be aware of and comply with all relevant safety policy and procedures.
- Maintain and process red tag items, CARs, NCAs, ECRs as directed by the QA.
- Be accountable
Education & Experience:
· HVAC manufacturing/work experience a plus
· 2 years Quality Control experience needed (preferred manufacturing experience)
