Position Summary:
The Vice President of Information Technology role works throughout the credit union, aligning Teams using technology to accomplish strategic goals. This role will oversee a team of professionals covering the IT Infrastructure function of the credit union. This role will work with all divisions to locate the friction points of their roles and responsibilities to enhance the team and member experience. Key responsibilities will include mentoring and continue building a top-tier IT Infrastructure team, developing and implementing standard operating procedures and policies, managing daily IT operations, implementing and supporting new infrastructure, and business projects. The role is responsible for activities related to Infrastructure, telecommunications, operations, and maintenance of technology platforms. The overall goal is to ensure high synergies within IT, between IT and lines of business, and with vendors leading to a highly secure and top-tier IT operation. The expectation is creating value with the technology stack. This value will be achieved through constant improvement. This role will work daily with the VP of Technology Solutions and VP of Cybersecurity.

Coach and develop IT team members.
Works with the IT leadership team on budget for Capital Expenditure and Operating Expense, manages parts of the Operating Expense budget for the Chief Technology Officer.
Manage team on IT daily operations including but not limited to infrastructure, telecommunications, Help Desk, and system operations.
Collaborates with other Vice Presidents at Wellbyto pursue excellence.
Collaborates with peers in the industry to stay abreast of infrastructure, cybersecurity, and emerging technology trends.
Leads teams that work closely with all business unit leaders to provide process excellence.
Manage vendor relations and build alignment with strategic partners.
Coordinate system additions or enhancements with all vendors and advise team members of changes or enhancements to ensure optimum cooperation and preparation (i.e. conversions and software updates)
Explores emerging technologies for strategic planning and potential implementation.
Develops and implements disaster recovery procedures as part of the business continuity team.
Participation in the evaluation of current infrastructure and the development of strategies for planned growth.
Assist in managing security audits and staying abreast of security trends to ensure the organization meets or exceeds current regulations.
Prepares or reviews production, operating, and downtime records and reports and recommends routine and quality control standards changes to improve operating efficiencies.
Assist in the maintenance of Credit Union servers, hardware, and software including, but not limited to, Cloud Infrastructure, Microsoft Azure stack, AD\DNS\DHCP, VMware, and VoIP phone system.
Establish and maintain positive professional relationships with team members, vendors, and other financial institutions.
Assist other team members with escalated work orders and resolving problems.
Remains abreast of computer technology and trends in search of potential improvements in various systems that might enhance the credit union’s ability to deliver products and services to team and members.
Support the team during troubleshooting issues that may arise after hours.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA)
Knowledge of Wellby’s organizational functions, and general operating policies and procedures.
Knowledge of the systems/computer field, including application design, hardware, software and their capabilities and limitations.
Knowledge of IT infrastructure (Cloud and On-premise), cybersecurity, data management, and emerging technologies.
Knowledge of secretarial practices and procedures, business English, spelling, and punctuation.
Skilled in operating computer equipment and general office machines such as personal computers, copiers, projection equipment, audio/video, Microsoft Teams, and adding machines.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field required.
Minimum ten (10) years of information systems and technology experience. One year of relevant work experience may be substituted for one year of required education.
Minimum five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in information technology leadership roles.
Experience in the following areas: Cloud Infrastructure, cybersecurity best practices (hardware and software), Telecommunications, Microsoft server applications, project management, and team member support.
Experience with Microsoft Azure is preferred
Experience with VoIP Phone System is required
Experience in the financial services industry, particularly within a credit union or banking environment, is highly desirable.
Proven track record of strategic IT planning and execution.
Relevant certifications (e.g., Azure Fundamentals, Azure Administrative Associate, Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate, PMP) are a plus.
