Established in 1955, Miller-Stephenson Chemical (located in Danbury, CT) has emerged as a leading distributor of chemical products used in the aerospace, automotive, and manufacturing industries. Miller-Stephenson Chemical is looking for a candidate with a bachelor’s degree in science. Industrial experience preferred. This candidate should be an excellent muti-tasker, extremely organized, and have strong communication and writing skills. Must be able to develop an excellent rapport with customers and be able to have a clear understanding of the components of the products and ability to demonstrate their use. Job emphasis is on technical support and account development.
A chemical background is desired. Must be a team player who works well with other support personnel.
Starting salary: $50,000-60,000 per year
DUTIES AND RESPOSIBILITIES:
· Responsible for oversight of day to day operations necessary to sustain client accounts
and for acquiring new business opportunities
· Work in partnership with Technical and Product Development teams to deliver
appropriate solutions to customer needs
· Analyze customer applications and choose the appropriate chemical solution from a
variety of products, including lubricants, solvents, coatings, etc. (Training will be
provided on our full product line)
· Ability to cross-sell products to new and existing customers
· Provide rapid, courteous responses to all customer inquiries
· Utilize the company CRM system, to accurately log all customer interactions.
· Must have problem-solving abilities and exceptional listening skills
· Strong communication and writing skills
· Performs product demos and advises customers on how to integrate Miller-Stephenson
solutions into their production
· Reviewing product labels and technical data sheets
· Create and review Certificate of Analysis
· Administrative duties
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
· Chemical background preferred
· Business acumen and understanding of business sales processes
· Mechanical and technical aptitude with high attention to detail
· Proficient in Microsoft Office
· Experience in utilizing the internet a plus
· Ability to work in a team, as well as individually is a MUST
