As a Plant Manager at V & M Aerospace, LLC. You will play a crucial role in driving operational excellence and enhancing the efficiency of our manufacturing operations. You will be responsible for managing all plant operations, including production, maintenance, quality assurance, safety and environmental and logistics. Your role will extend to developing strategies to optimize plant performance, ensure safety and environmental compliance, and meet production goals.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of plant operations, ensuring efficiency, safety, environmental and optimal performance.
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance plant efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure product quality.
- Manage and lead cross-functional teams, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations, promoting a culture of safety within the plant.
- Collaborate with maintenance planners and other stakeholders to ensure maintenance activities are well-planned and executed efficiently.
- Monitor plant performance, analyzing data to identify trends, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- High school diploma: education beyond high school, including special training, vocational school, and/or college courses is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in plant management or a similar leadership role in a manufacturing environment.
- Proven track record of driving operational excellence and achieving production goals.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of collaborating effectively with various stakeholders and customers.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on continuous improvement.
Bonus
- Advanced certification in Plant Management or Operations.
- Experience in implementing Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
- BS degree in Business Management or related field
Safety and Quality:
- Promote safety and environmental daily and conduct monthly safety/environmental meetings.
- Ensure accurate shipments, and proper shipment of products.
- Communicate company benefits and compensation policies to Team Members.
Record Keeping and Education:
- Keep records of reworked or returned products.
- Provide continuous education on the importance of quality.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to access all areas of the production floor to conduct audits and inspections (fixed ladders, stairs, steps, etc.).
