About Us:
Valorous Academy is a vibrant and growing private Christian school committed to providing an excellent education to our students. Our mission is to nurture each child's academic, spiritual, and personal growth in a supportive and loving environment. We are dedicated to fostering a community where students can thrive and develop a strong foundation of faith and knowledge. Our enrollment is projected to be around 200 students for the upcoming school year. Our class sizes are intentionally kept small, and we are excellent at building relationships with our students and their families.
Job Summary:
We are seeking passionate and dedicated elementary and secondary teachers to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidates will have a deep commitment to Christian education, a love for teaching, and the ability to create an engaging and nurturing classroom environment. Teachers will be responsible for developing and delivering curriculum, assessing student progress, and fostering a positive and classroom culture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the school's curriculum and standards.
- We use Abeka as our baseline for teaching.
- Create a positive classroom environment that supports student learning and growth.
- Use a variety of instructional strategies to meet the diverse needs of students.
- Assess and monitor student progress through observations, assessments, and feedback.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and administration to support student success.
- Christian values and teachings are integrated into the curriculum and daily activities.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in education.
- Maintain accurate and timely records of student attendance, grades, and other required documentation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree (preferred).
- Previous teaching experience, preferably in a private or Christian school setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to create engaging and effective lesson plans.
- Commitment to the mission and values of a Christian education.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and administration.
- Passion for teaching and a genuine love for working with children.
