Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Sanitation Worker to join our team.
Job Purpose: Sanitation Manager will manage all aspects of cleaning operations to assure a safe working environment for all employees. Follow all company established policies and procedures for safety. Coordinating with production, maintenance, and quality. Setting and reviewing shift's performance versus objectives or cleaning cost and chemical and water usage. Create and maintain a (MSS) master sanitation schedule, record, and review daily cleaning logs for each specific area of the plant. This position will ensure compliance for all SSOP, GMP and safety requirements established by company policy and procedure. This position is responsible for ensuring company compliance with any new procedures that involves the cleaning and maintenance of the entire facility.
*Safety Sensitive due to working in different processes; using different tools, equipment, and machineries; lapse of attention could result in injury, illness, or death.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Direct supervision of approx. 15-20 sanitation employees. Subject to be update as plant increases production capacity
- Maintain all safety aspects of job and follow all established company policies and procedures
- Maintain and continue to develop (MSS) master sanitation schedule as needed as plant & sanitation needs
- GMP(Good Manufacturing Practices)
- Pre-Operation Inspection (prepare daily plant daily for pre-op inspection)
- Maintain good working relations with m maintenance, FSQA, USDA and company management team members
- Cost control for all sanitation utilized equipment chemicals and water use (establish & maintain standard of each)
- Monitor Sanitation daily to ensure plant is clean and meets all standard for plant QA and USDA inspection
- Record keeping for all established daily week and monthly task that will meet Company and BRC audit standards
- Able to work with chemical and equipment vendors to ensure best practices and cost for company
- Be able to meet daily standard for cleaning times and readiness/ releases times for pre-op
Qualifications:
Position requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience with 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar or related position. The individual will have knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures as they relate to the food & sanitation cleaning industry.
Health and Safety:
This position requires the ability to stand for long periods of time as needed for sanitation cleaning management, also monitoring and training, the ability to walk long distances as needed for production requirements, tolerance to cold & hot temperatures of water and air, and the ability to work on and around wet concrete floors that may be coated with chemical as needed for cleaning protocol Physical and mental condition to work in fast paced environment.
