IEM is seeking an experienced project manager to guide new products introductions (NPIs) from ideation up to product launch. This new position will play a major role in establishing the tone and tempo of our product development initiatives. This position offers an exciting opportunity at an innovative, growing company with a backlog of bookings that extends more than 3 years.
Summary: Responsible for leading and tracking NPI initiatives within the Development Engineering division. Liaisons with Product Engineering and Operations.

Essential duties and responsibilities:
- Lead new product introductions through product development, commercialization, up to handoff to manufacturing.
- Lead technical, multi-disciplinary project teams including Engineering, Quality, Operations, Marketing, and various other stakeholders. Facilitate meetings, take detailed notes, create and follow up on action plans, and identify important milestones and blockers.
- Facilitate effective collaboration between stakeholders to manage tasks.
- Develop high-level schedule and checklists, lead standup meetings, publish progress updates, and drive project phases through to completion.
- With the project’s Lead Development Engineer and the Product Owner, prepare and lead phase gate reviews with Project Stakeholders. Publish gate status reports.
- Ensure that all necessary documentation is completed.
- Archive BOMs and design drawings, draft work instructions, ensure as-built markups are collected along with prototyping notes. Verify that First Article Inspection is completed on all protype parts. Ensure development records are complete for later reference in Product Lifecyle Management.
- Work with Procurement team to manage and track communications with external vendors of critical components. Ensure submittals are approved by engineering and that components received are in conformance.
- Conduct Design for Manufacturability reviews, gathering notes and feedback from operations stakeholders, closing loop back to engineering and effective resolution.
- Perform other tasks assigned by management.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in STEM or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years in a project management or similar role, Agile experience preferred.
- Minimum 2 years in new product introductions, including leading design review and phase gate review.
- Able to work and problem-solve with people from diverse backgrounds and training environments.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
