Matthew Walker Comprehensive Health Center has an exciting opportunity available for a skilled, resourceful and motivated individual who would like to make a difference in the lives of others in helping a non-for-profit organization fulfill its mission to provide quality health care at our Nashville, TN location. Reporting to the Dental Coordinator, the Dental Assistant (DA) will be responsible for providing the following to include, but not limited to:
- Assist dentist with dental procedures as needed
- Promote treatment plans and encourage patients to begin treatment
- Maintain a clean and organized operatory at all times
- Prepare impressions and/or models for removable prosthetics
The DA is expected to possess excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills. Acute attention to detail and in-depth knowledge of general dental terminology is required. One year of employment as a dental assistant is preferred.
Graduation from an accredited Dental Assistant program is required including registration with the Tennessee Board of Dentistry. Additionally, proof of continuing dental education from Tennessee Board of Dentistry required. Candidates must have a valid CPR certification, which must be maintained throughout employment
