Position: Fire Sprinkler Inspector

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of 2 years of experience inspecting fire sprinkler systems
- Valid RMEI (Responsible Managing Employee - Inspector) certification issued by Texas State FMO.
- A FAL or FEL license is advantageous but not mandatory
- In-depth knowledge of Texas fire codes, NFPA standards (25, 13, 16, 20, & 72), and industry best practices related to fire sprinkler systems
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective client/office interaction
- Attention to detail to ensure accurate inspection and reporting
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
- Physical capability to perform tasks associated with the inspection and maintenance of fire sprinkler systems
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Proficiency in using test equipment including sensitivity test equipment, multimeters, battery analyzers, sound level meters, and communicating devices
- Good PC skills including iPad
Responsibilities:
As a Fire Sprinkler Inspector at Reliable Fire Protection, you will:
- Ensure the integrity and functionality of fire sprinkler systems in compliance with Texas state regulations and industry standards
- Conduct inspections, testing, simple repairs, and maintenance of fire sprinkler systems in commercial properties within the Houston, TX and surrounding area
- Perform routine inspections, testing, and maintenance of fire sprinkler system components
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, testing, and maintenance activities
- Stay updated with Texas state regulations and industry standards
- Professionally interact with clients and admin staff, providing clear explanations of inspection findings and recommendations
- Identify and troubleshoot issues with fire sprinkler systems, making necessary repairs or replacements
- Be available for emergency response situations, including after-hours calls
- Perform building sprinkler inspections, including testing devices, recording results, and providing reports
- Collect data and generate necessary paperwork (Sprinkler Inspection Reports, Quick Reports, and Inspection Certificates)
- Ensure that all inspections are completed timely and accurately
- Enter test results into the handheld device and generate completed Sprinkler Inspection Reports
- Participate in weekly team meetings
- Adhere to the Code of Conduct, Confidentiality Agreement, and Company Safety Policy
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
- Handle physically demanding tasks such as standing, walking stairs, climbing ladders, and lifting objects up to 50 pounds
- Communicate daily with the Project Manager and/or Schedule Coordinator on inspection or project delays, requirements, and job status
- Work with the Project Manager, Schedule Coordinator, and Office Administrative Staff to ensure complete closeout and turnover of jobs to the client
