Job Description:
We are looking for organized and motivated Assistant Property Manager (APM) to join our dynamic and growing company. The APM will assist with the management of portfolios of properties located in San Francisco. More specifically, the APM will perform administrative and organizational duties such as liaising with residents, collecting rent, doing basic bookkeeping, organizing property viewings and overseeing facility maintenance. You will also be responsible for evaluating applicants and negotiating contracts. The ideal candidate has a natural ability to roll with the punches, being flexible to handle anything that might come their way.
To be successful as a 2BL assistant property manager you should have excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. An outstanding candidate will also have a talent for business management and distinguished conflict resolution skills. This role also requires the individual to be detail-oriented, professional and have excellent written and verbal communication skills. The APM will report to the Regional Manager and the Property/Portfolio Managers of their assigned properties.
Objectives of this Role:
- Addressing and resolving residents' questions, concerns, and complaints in a timely manner.
- Inspecting property conditions and coordinating maintenance activities.
- Managing budgets, accounts, rent collections, and tenant notices.
- Maintaining organized and updated resident files and records.
- Reporting any problems or issues to the property manager.
Daily and Monthly Responsibilities:
Duties will typically include, but not limited to, the following:
· Coordinate routine maintenance work
· Field requests from tenants
· Schedule and perform move in and move out inspections with tenants
· Coordinate apartment turnover work
· Maintain a detailed and updated expertise on assigned properties
· Schedule and perform annual unit compliance inspections
· Find value-add opportunities for owner’s properties
· Work with owners, tenants, vendors, and team members
· Other general administrative office duties
· Some night and weekend work may be necessary
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (preferred)
Property management experience (preferred)
Computer savvy – Appfolio experience (preferred)
Excellent customer service skills
Strong organizational and time management skills, and ability to prioritize
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong problem-solving skills and analytical abilities
Must be proficient with Microsoft Office and Google products
Bilingual in Spanish (preferred)
Driving required – must have car and valid driver’s license
Compensation:
Commensurate with experience - range $52-62K/annually (exempt position)
Eligible for annual performance bonuses
