About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Fractional CFO to join our team. A Fractional Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a senior executive responsible for managing the financial actions of a company. This includes tracking cash flow, financial planning, and analyzing the company's financial strengths and weaknesses to propose corrective actions. The CFO ensures the accuracy of financial reporting and compliance with regulations, plays a critical role in budget management, and provides strategic financial guidance to the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the accuracy and completeness of our financial records across the organization.
- Perform monthly reconciliations and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
- Develop, set, and monitor operating budgets for our directors.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of common accounting practices and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with our team to streamline financial processes and improve efficiency.
- Prepare and present financial reports to the executive team and board of directors.
- Oversee and manage cash flow planning to ensure the availability of funds as needed.
- Identify and manage business risks and insurance requirements.
- Implement and manage financial systems and controls.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial reporting requirements.
- Lead financial planning and analysis, including forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis.
- Evaluate and manage investments, cost-reduction opportunities, and potential mergers and acquisitions.
Qualifications:
- CPA or Master's degree in Accounting.
- Proven experience in a CFO or senior financial management role.
- Strong knowledge of common accounting practices and financial regulations.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Proficiency with accounting software and financial management tools.
