Description
The Energy Power Management System (EPMS) Field Service Technician will be working as part of a fast growing, dynamic team and will play a critical role representing the company in their customer’s data centres. This person will help clients to reduce energy costs, ensure 100% up-time and maintain competitiveness.
The candidate will possess technical background and experience in installation, troubleshooting, operations and/or maintenance of wiring, networking, and programming associated with the EPMS system. The candidate may also have relevant experience operating and maintaining mission critical electrical systems.
An EPMS Field Service Technician shall be responsible for participating in the installation, testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning of equipment and controls system associated with the EPMS system deployment in the data centres.
EPMS Field Service Technician Responsibilities:
- Oversee end-to-end system installation, encompassing checkout, integration, testing, and commissioning.
- Conduct training sessions on Ignition for knowledge transfer within the team.
- Manage Predictive Maintenance Verification (PMV) and provide ongoing support.
- Address Health and Safety (HE) tickets promptly to maintain a safe work environment.
- Utilize ProCore for efficient project management and task tracking.
- Perform flashing activities on IPCs, HMIs, PLCs, and other components.
- Engage in Tridium Training, specifically Niagara N4, to enhance system integration skills.
- Actively seek opportunities to expand and develop expertise in system integration.
- Provide constructive feedback to the Engineering team on technical documentation and operational procedures.
- Demonstrate effective time management, teamwork, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Contribute to team development by training and mentoring fellow team members.
Experience & Qualifications
- 4 years of experience in a technical field.
- Prior experience with Data Centers and proficiency in PLC programming, HMI development, and SCADA creation.
- Strong troubleshooting skills.
- Familiarity with Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing drawings.
Preferred Experience Qualifications:
- Experience in some, not all, of the Basic Experience Qualifications listed above.
- Prior experience with equipment including AHU, DAHU, CRAHU, MAU, Fans, Pumps, Valves, Motors, Relay logic, Heat pumps, Water systems, Meters, AC/DC Circuits.
- Familiarity with protocols such as MODBUS and BACnet.
