The purpose of this role is to develop software tools and processes to enable more streamlined data collection using our company’s devices. In addition, this engineer will help to execute clinical studies designed to prototype and validate new algorithms on our device platform. Data collection is a critical and growing need for the company in order continue ensure that new products will work as expected in all clinical scenarios. It is important that tools exist to make this process as efficient as possible, and to empower more people at the company to participate in data collection efforts.

Develop Data Collection Tools:

Determine pain points in current data collection process and gather information from relevant stakeholders

Propose new workflows and tools to increase efficiency

Develop tools using Python and shell scripting
Execute Clinical Studies:-
Help recruit subjects to participate in clinical studies

Execute clinical studies with volunteers and ensure proper recording of study information

BS in computer science or related field
-
Comfortable coding in Python
-
Experience writing shell scripts and using the command line

Ability to work with test equipment to characterize product performance
-
Experience working with hardware and mechanical aspects of a product is a plus

Strong interpersonal skills needed to interact with recruited subject volunteers

Strong critical thinking skills and high attention to detail

Ability to work under pressure in a startup environment

Salary Expectations: $70 - $80K total compensation (based on experience)
