Position: Analytical Development Associate III
A position is immediately available within our Research group for an Analytical Development Associate III. Capricor seeks a highly motivated and creative individual who is capable of independent work in a collaborative environment, to be a part of a fast-moving innovative team.
Responsibilities:

Conduct literature reviews
-
Collect and analyze data
-
Maintain accurate records of data, safeguarding the confidentiality of subjects, as necessary
-
Summarize experiment and data
-
Provide ready access to all experimental data for the team researcher and/or supervisor
-
Attend project meetings
-
Summarize project results
-
Prepare progress reports for the PI and PD, QC and manufacturing
-
Prepare other articles, reports, and presentations
-
Monitor the project reagents and materials
-
Tissue harvesting and submitting samples for histology
-
Sterile tissue culture
-
RNA/DNA isolation from cells or tissues
-
Flow cytometry analysis; and
-
Perform PCR, qRT-PCR, or other basic molecular biology techniques
-
Optimize assays such as ELISA, qPCR, NGS, flow cytometry, and cell-based assays
-
Assist in the from-scratch design of potential assays (reagent selection, antibody compatibility, assay timing, etc.)

Proficient in mammalian cell culture (adherent, suspension, primary cells, and cell lines)
-
Engage with the AD team as a senior contributor by assisting with data organization and analysis
-
Participate in cross-departmental projects with research, product development, and quality control

Performs such other duties as may be assigned to you from time to time
Requirements:

B.S. with 6 years biotech experience, M.S. with 4 years biotech experience. in bioengineering, biochemistry, or related scientific field.

Ability to work as part of a team are required and to complete experiments, analyze data and provide results to end-users in a timely fashion is required

Expertise and trouble shooting skills on molecular biology and cell culture.

GMP experience preferred but not required

Experience with flow cytometry, functional assays, DNA, RNA and protein analysis is preferred
