Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a travel assignment to join our medical team. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will be responsible for operating imaging equipment to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. As a pivotal part of the healthcare system, it includes preparing and administering radioactive compounds, operating sophisticated imaging equipment, and acquiring and analyzing diagnostic images. These tasks are instrumental in assisting physicians to diagnose and treat a wide range ofconditions.
Duties:
- Perform PET scans and other nuclear medicine procedures
- Operate medical imaging equipment to produce scans
- Apply knowledge of human anatomy and physiology to obtain optimal images
- Utilize aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety during procedures
- Assist in the diagnostic evaluation of images
- Maintain accurate records and patient information
- Communicate effectively with medical staff and patients
- Ensure compliance with radiation safety regulations
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or CT Tech or related field
- Certification by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- Proficiency in medical terminology and nuclear medicine procedures
- Strong understanding of anatomy and physiology
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
