As a premier behavioral health facility in Holyoke Massachusetts, we are seeking motivated, reliable, and committed caregivers who will be responsible for providing direct care and support to our patients within a substance use disorder program.
How You Care for Our Patients
As a Clinician III:
- Maintain an active caseload providing individual, family, and group counseling along with case management. Frequency of sessions based on clinical need and assigned levels of care.
- The Clinician III caseload reflects a more clinically complex case mix. Caseload may vary dependent upon business needs, number of clinical supervisees, and other assigned duties.
- Complete psychosocial assessments, care plans, periodic assessments, progress notes, discharge summaries and other related documentation as required within established timeframes.
- Provide crisis assessments and management in consultation with the supervisor.
- Have competence/expertise the in treatment of adults utilizing DSM-5 and ASAM criteria.
- Track patient adherence with program requirements.
- Be a role model in professional relationships and boundaries with patients, colleagues and the community.
- Maintain independent licensure by completing required continuing education credits. Meet credentialing requirements for third party payers.
- Serve as a preceptor to colleagues and interns. Provide clinical supervision for colleagues seeking licensure.
- Provide consultation on cases to colleagues as appropriate.
- Provide training for program staff on selected topics as assigned by Manager and/or Supervisor.
- Attend all department meetings, supervision and staff education/trainings sessions.
- Maintain required productivity level for Clinician III.
- Assist with insurance utilization review.
- Other duties as assigned.

You Bring Meaningful Experience
Successful candidates will have the following:
- Master’s degree in social work, psychology, mental health counseling or related clinical field.
- Must have LMHC with 3 years’ experience post licensure; or an LICSW.
- Requires two (2) years related experience in mental health and substance use settings with a minimum of one (1) year of substance use disorder experience.
- Previous supervisory experience preferred.
- Advanced level clinical knowledge base of theoretical approaches and interventions to meet the needs of patients diagnosed with substance use disorder such as: Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, or other specialized treatment approaches.
- Experience working within an outpatient setting including day treatment programming preferred.
- Requires excellent organization, time management, communication, and ability to document in the electronic medical record.
- Proficient typing and computer skills to facilitate use of Electronic Medical Record (EMR) required; experience with EMR, including SMART preferred.
- Bilingual staff may require successful completion of a language competency exam.
