Position Overview: In-Home Therapy (IHT) is a service comprised of a Clinician and a Therapeutic Training and Support Worker (TT&S) that work with the family in their home to address the emotional and behavioral health needs of the youth. The IHT team implements interventions and strategies that address youth behavioral and emotional needs, family communication, family relationships/dynamics, parenting strategies, safety planning, and ongoing work towards the identified treatment planning goals. The IHT team utilizes a strengths-based, family-driven approach with an emphasis on building a community and natural support system for the youth and family to promote the sustainability of treatment gains.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide family therapy in a home-based setting (outreach).
- Complete comprehensive, home-based assessments inclusive of the CANS, focusing on the needs, strengths, culture, current functioning, and history of the youth and family.
- Create treatment planning goals in concert with the family and other team members.
- Work closely with the IHT Therapeutic Training and Support worker (TT&S) in implementing strategies as indicated in the treatment plan.
- Provide safety planning, crisis management, intervention, and support as needed.
- Support youth and families in community-based settings such as schools, hospitals, and mental health clinics.
- Maintain consistent contact with all team members to ensure all are on the same page.
- Provide after-hours on-call support on a rotating basis.
- Maintain expected weekly productivity.
- Attend supervision and all staff meetings in person or via telehealth.
- Provide service in person, telehealth, or outreach.
Qualifications:
- Must have a Master’s degree in the human services field (able to diagnose).
- Must be license eligible or independently licensed.
- Must be MA CANS certified (before start date).
- At least one year of experience working with youth with mental health needs (preferred).
- Knowledge of mental health diagnoses, community resources, and child/family-serving systems (preferred).
- Must have own transportation.
