Role Description
This individual is responsible for managing the Department of Event Services at the Georgia Center for Continuing Education & Hotel. This department oversees the use, setup, operation, and maintenance of technology-enhanced multi-functional conference rooms, boardrooms, auditoriums, exhibit space, and banquet areas for operations occurring 7 days a week, 16 hours a day. Additionally, this will include working closely with the Food & Beverage Banquet and Catering Manager(s) and Supervisors to ensure the timely set up and tear down of tables, chairs, risers, stages and other set up configurations as required by the client(s).
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies
- Managerial experience overseeing and conducting administrative reporting functions preferred
- Experience using Microsoft Office and diagramming software
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional journals and financial reports; ability to communicate effectively and adeptly with co-workers, senior management, clients, and the general public; ability to write complex documents in prescribed formats and present complex information, ideas, and beliefs to senior management.
- Ability to develop ideas that will result in the creation of new and improved methods, services, programs, and processes.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per month
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Nights as needed
- Weekends as needed
Experience:
- working with high end audio/visual equipment and systems: 5 years (Preferred)
