We are a group of forward-thinking lawyers and professionals who have built a progressive business law firm based on a more passionate and personal way of practicing law.
We are looking for a top-notch litigation assistant to join our existing core of professional staff. This role would assist with revising pleadings, collating discovery documents, communicating with court personnel, and would support multiple attorneys handling commercial litigation.
Who are we looking for?
In addition to initiative, expertise, and professionalism, all candidates are expected to have:
- a solid work history and proven performance;
- excellent communication and people skills;
- exceptional strong technical capabilities;
- resourcefulness and initiative; and
- a strong work ethic.
The successful candidate will also:
- have hands-on experience with e-filing in federal and state courts;
- have a firm grasp on civil procedure in Illinois, and a willingness to learn the same processes in Wisconsin;
- possess excellent organizational and time management skills, and flexibility to balance competing deadlines and demands; and
- be proactive, reliable, and be able to maintain strict confidentiality
We look for curiosity, intuition, and innovation. We look for people who are comfortable working both independently and in a group setting, and who thrive on collaboration. We embrace a culture of fun, but we are also a culture of performance.
We want to surround ourselves with people who are engaged, honest and confident enough on their own quest to support ours. We take seriously our responsibility to ensure that you develop as a member of the firm and the legal community. We encourage you to be involved in all aspects of the firm. We appreciate people who are willing, even enthusiastic, to step up, work hard, and fill the gaps.
