This position provides assistance in nearly all areas of the firm’s day-to-day financial and project-related tasks. You are the primary contact between SAJ, our clients’ and our consultants’ accounting departments. The ideal candidate will possess 2 plus years’ experience with QuickBooks Online. Experience with Monograph’s online project architecture software would be valuable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of the financial operation of the business, while ensuring an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close.
- Maintain accurate financial records using QuickBooks Online.
- Maintain accurate project files in Monographs Project Manager Software system.
- Process payroll through QuickBooks Online, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Record and pay accounts payable.
- Issue, track and record payments of client invoices, including bank deposits.
- Monitor cash flow levels.
- Reconcile bank and credit card statements.
- Accounting related correspondence for project and firm consultants and clients.
- Maintain all vendor W9s and prepare and file 1099 forms.
- Liaise with external auditors and tax professionals.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies.
- Schedule and track annual employee review and quarterly check-ins.
- Support the development and updating of the firm’s administrative, accounting and project management processes and procedures.
- This is a firm-wide role that supports two offices, staff, and projects as is needed.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field strongly preferred.
Strong Understanding of GAAP and financial concepts.
2+ years' experience using QuickBooks Online, including Payroll processing.
Strong knowledge of MS365 Office, including Teams.
Experience with Monographs Project Management software is a plus.
