Prestigious law firm is in need of a full-time paralegal/legal assistant who is a self-starter, great communicator, and performs well with minimal supervision. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, receiving and screening visitors, proofreading and correcting prepared materials, composing routine letters and memoranda or reports, preparing and e-filing documents with state and federal courts, managing calendars for all court imposed deadlines, and opening new files notifying claim adjusters or interested parties of representation. Experience with Georgia law, specifically Workers' Compensation is a plus.
Ideal candidates would, at minimum, be a high school graduate, have three years’ experience as a paralegal or legal secretary (preferred), strong PC skills , have excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with firm personnel at all levels with a high degree of professionalism, have excellent written communication skills including accurate grammar, spelling, and punctuation, have a professional and courteous demeanor, and the ability to work independently/sort priorities with minimal direct supervision. A paralegal certification is a plus, but not required.
