We are seeking a dedicated Specialty Pharmacy manager to join our team. As a Specialty Pharmacy manager, you will play a crucial role in providing specialized pharmaceutical services to patients. Your primary responsibilities will include collaborating with healthcare professionals, assisting patients with specialty medication needs, and ensuring exceptional patient care.
This position is eligible for performance based bonus.
**Duties:**
- Work closely with pharmacists to facilitate the preparation and dispensing of specialty medications.
- Manage inventory of specialty medications and supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels.
- Utilize proper techniques to handle and administer specialty medications, including inhalation therapies.
- Accurately input prescription information into the system to facilitate timely processing.
- Provide outstanding customer service to patients by addressing inquiries and concerns promptly.
- Collaborate effectively with the healthcare team to optimize patient care outcomes.
- Adhere to safety protocols rigorously and maintain a hygienic and organized workspace.
**Skills:**
- Experience in a hospital or acute care setting is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in medication administration, especially for critical care patients.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and pharmacy practices.
- Prior experience as a pharmacy technician is advantageous.
- Exceptional patient service skills with a focus on personalized care.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
