The project lead must be able to implement standard project management industry practices and understands the PMI framework as well as how to establish a project organization and methodology. They must be familiar with Project Delivery Framework and QAT reporting requirements for major Texas Information Resource projects. The successful candidate understands business and technical objectives and works closely with multiple key project business and technical stakeholders as well as third party Vendors.
The project lead will coordinate the activities across multiple projects and be expected to communicate to program customers and IT teams and must develop strong relationships with key decision-makers; coordinate activities between third party vendors and multiple state programs and IT teams; identify dependencies between multiple projects and develops plans to mitigate risks; create project timelines, project tracking documents, and other related project artifacts, as necessary. The lead will need to be able to comprehend and communicate complex technical designs and implementations as well as complex business processes; develop and make presentations as required to leadership and oversight entities (e.g., steering committees, QAT, etc.)
