Link Technologies (LinkTechConsulting.com), a Las Vegas, NV based IT consulting firm, is currently seeking a Database Developer II to join our team.
JOB DESCRIPTION
This role will play a crucial part in advancing the database and business intelligence components of custom applications. This position demands extensive expertise in leading database systems, data modeling, business intelligence platforms, and proficiency in SQL and database programming. Ideal candidates will exhibit substantial relevant experience and a rapid ability to understand domain-specific knowledge and requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS
· Minimum of two to three (2-3) years of experience working in AWS environments.
· Minimum seven (7) years of experience in database programming with a focus on:
o SQL and PL/SQL, as well as scripting languages
o MS SQL Server
o PostgreSQL
· Capability to independently complete assigned projects.
· Demonstrated experience in engineering and software architecture design.
· Bachelor's degree in computer science with relevant experience.
· SQL, i.e., PostgreSQL, T-SQL
· Linux and Windows OS
· AWS, Azure, and any cloud database services environments.
· Integrated development environments, i.e., IntelliJ IDEA, PgAdmin, SQL Server Management Studio.
· Source versioning system, i.e., GIT , Subversion.
· Trouble ticket reporting system, i.e., JIRA, IssueTrak or similar.
· Experience with reporting, analytics, and data visualization tools.
· Familiarity with version control systems such as GIT or Subversion.
· Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
· Self-motivated and adaptable.
· Exceptional verbal, written, and customer service skills.
· Ability to effectively prioritize tasks.
· Capacity to independently complete assigned tasks.
· Self-motivated awareness of the latest technological trends in IT services and delivery.
· Detail-oriented with a passion for quality.
· Experience in organizational change management.
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Provide cutting edge design prototypes and execute development tasks for applications and systems that are owned and supported.
· Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to implement solutions and resolve issues within acceptable levels of cost, stability, risk, and reliability.
· Review and modify code to ensure adherence to standards and specifications.
· Assist with managing source code, continuous integration, and deployment plans.
· Monitor, propose, and participate in executing updates for current technologies based on discovered vulnerabilities and value to projects.
· Maintain documentation on database systems, architectures, and builds.
· Support project management activities related to IT and general objectives.
· Adhere to departmental policies and procedures.
