Job Summary
Texas Champion Bank tellers provide excellent customer service in person and over the phone for both business and personal banking transactions. They assist customers with opening accounts, certificate of deposits, safe boxes, cashing checks, receiving deposits, making withdrawals, processing loan payments, credit card advances, and preparing change orders for customers. Must be available to work Monday thru Friday and rotating Saturdays.
- Provide customer services such as cashing checks, receiving deposits, making withdrawals, receiving loan payments, making credit card advances, preparing change orders for commercial customers, etc.
- Explain account options for checking, savings, certificates of deposit, and safe deposit boxes.
- Input customer information and prepare required documentation to open accounts.
- Sell products such as Money Orders and Official Checks.
- Balance cash drawer, ATM (Automatic Teller Machine), and cash vault daily.
- Keep cash drawer counted down according to drawer limits.
- Prepare shipment to/from vault.
- Process various Night-Drop and Mail transactions as needed.
- Familiar with retail banking regulations and responsibilities
- Process Wire Transfers according to banking center guidelines
- Examine checks for endorsement, proper presentment, stop payments, and recourse.
- Assist customers in gaining access to their safe deposit boxes.
- Perform miscellaneous duties such as filing, answering phones, maintaining supplies, etc.
- Ability to work and adapt to changing organizational and operational needs and take on additional principal duties and responsibilities as needed.
- Must exhibit a very professional and helpful attitude along with the ability to interact positively with customers and co-workers.
- Flexible regarding scheduling.
- Available to work rotating Saturdays and evenings as needed.
Job Requirements
- High School diploma, general education degree (GED), or equivalent required
- Previous cash handling and customer service experience required
- Good math and calculator skills
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Excellent time management, organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to multi-task and work in a deadline-driven environment
- Excellent PC skills, including word processing and spreadsheets
