The hours for this position will be 2nd shift, 2:30pm to 1am Monday through Thursday with the potential for overtime and weekend work should production needs dictate.
JOB SUMMARY:
Under the supervision of the Warehouse Lead, the Shipping and Receiving Clerk verifies, maintains and processes records on incoming or outgoing shipments and other related duties as assigned by the Warehouse Lead.
JOB DUTIES:
Operate computer system as it pertains to shipping and receiving.
Run and read reports
Daily entry of shipping/receiving logs and related information into Excel spreadsheets.
Prepare picking list when given order numbers, print copies and distribute.
Process bill of lading.
Receive and make phone calls for shipping and receiving related matters in a professional manner.
Monitor product shortages
Maintain shipping records
Verify incoming raw material deliveries – sugar, concentrate, etc.
Verify that all loads are shipped correctly
Work with production to assure proper product is ready
Receive vendor dunnage, stock returns, and leakers.
Follow all company established clean up and housekeeping procedures.
Comply with all plant and food safety, Food Safety Plan, GMP and sanitation regulations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Requires education generally equivalent to four years of high school. Requires basic computer skills, a general knowledge of warehouse procedures, ability to lift up to 30 lbs. on an infrequent basis, basic mathematical and writing skills, and good communication skills. Requires the ability to work well with others. Previous experience in a shipping and receiving department is helpful, but not necessary. Must be able to work in a fast paced environment.
