Blacksmith Fork Assisted Living in Hyrum, UT is looking for a SUPER Executive Director!
Our ideal Executive Director of this community is a walk around manager and can work independently. The ideal candidate is able to make decisions and create staff synergy to create positive interactions and a home-like environment for residents and staff. We are seeking an Executive Director who is dedicated to providing exceptional care and has a passion for seniors and the ability to create fun, smile, and laughter with our residents.
You'll be responsible for leading and directing the overall operation of the community in accordance with resident needs, current state and local standards, guidelines and regulations, as well as our internal policies and procedures. Other tasks include maintaining outstanding service, high occupancy, and meeting financial goals within established budgetary guidelines; be able to promote a positive company image to the public by creating a customer experience of the highest quality for everyone, including staff.
Responsibilities:
- Directs the daily operations of the assisted living community by meeting or exceeding the Management Company standards of service
- Operates the Administration Department within established budgets
- Recommends and implements programs to increase revenue and control expenses
- Assists in the development of annual operating budgets and explains significant variances from approved budgets
- Responsible for moving in residents, and documenting appropriately
- Responsible for hiring and disciplining associates with the knowledge of the owners
- Supervises associates ensuring that all personnel policies and procedures are followed
- Schedules, recruits, retains, trains, and directs associates
- Ensures that compensation, including benefits are managed within established budgets
- Ensures that all laws and regulations that pertain to employment are obeyed
- Assists in managing census to maintain stabilized occupancy and proper levels of care
- Ensure compliance with all rules, regulations, laws and statutes pertaining to the licensing of an assisted living community
- Maintains and protects the confidentiality of resident information at all times
- Supervises all staff in a manner that encourages top performance and growth of subordinates
- On-call 24 hours a day
- Responsible for working shifts that are not covered by associates
- Maintain the dignity and privacy of all residents
- Protect all resident rights
- Assist residents with personal needs as requested, while helping to maintain the resident’s independence and well being
- Document appropriately services delivered to residents and any significant changes in condition
- Report any concerns with the health and wellbeing to the Owners and Nurse
- Meet or exceed, the standards of appearance; comply with the sanitation rules, hygiene and health standards of community personnel
- At times serve meals in a fine and gracious manner, ensuring the dignity and nutritional needs of the residents
- Perform other reasonable tasks as assigned by owners
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
- Utah Administrator Certification Preferred
- Experience in Long-Term settings or Assisted Living
- Experience in the general management and operations of a health care facility, preferably in Assisted Living
- Have the ability to effectively communicate with residents, families, supervisors, and associates
- Willingness to work with the elderly
- Must be able to pass a background check
