Job Summary
The University of Kentucky Center of Excellence in Rural Health (UK CERH) is seeking a highly skilled Research Data Analyst Senior to join our team.
This role will lead our data management efforts, overseeing data collection and analysis, developing research study designs and implementation procedures, and maintaining research project timelines. This position will identify and coordinate research collaboration opportunities and guide staff on community engagement efforts.
The Research Data Analyst Senior will play a crucial role in creating data analysis reports for manuscript preparation and conference presentation. Additionally, this position will focus on workforce data analysis of health professions, generating specialized reports for publication. The role will also involve seeking grant funding opportunities and providing grant writing for research and community engagement projects across rural Kentucky.
The Research Data Analyst Senior will be responsible for all aspects of research and Institutional Review Board (IRB) compliance to ensure all protocol requirements are met. Supervisory duties of research staff will also be a part of this position. Some travel may be required for meetings and presentations throughout Kentucky and nationally.

Located in Hazard, Kentucky, approximately two hours from Lexington, the UK CERH was established in 1990 by state legislation to address health disparities in rural Kentucky.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
Microsoft Office, SAS, SPSS and Tableau software; critical and analytical thinking, ability to travel for work (i.e. meetings, conferences, technical assistance) both in-state and out-of-state as needed.

Preferred Education/Experience
Master’s degree and 6 years of experience in collecting and analyzing data, research project management, and IRB compliance. Valid driver’s license preferred.
