Traveling Robot Maintenance Technician
At ViaBot, we pride ourselves in being the first autonomous property management solution for commercial properties. We are looking to bring onto our team an El Paso, TX based Traveling Robot Maintenance Technician who will work overnight to fix robots (9pm - 5am), 5 days a week. Our ideal team member will learn about the inner workings of the robot and how to service and maintain it. Some out of state travel is expected and will be required.
Responsibilities:
- 100% traveling to local sites to maintain robots
- Travel (driving or flying out) to local and out of state robot deployment locations for routine maintenance checks, including inspecting, technical debugging, cleaning, and repairing equipment and machinery. You will need to use your own vehicle to drive to the local sites & the company will reimburse you for the mileage. Please note that a majority, if not all traveling will be to local robots (rarely to out of state robots).
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical problems with our technical team when they arise
- Create records of troubleshooting and repair work using internal reporting tools
- Use power and hand tools to service robots. Tools include but are not limited to: allen wrenches, hand drills, dremels, multimeters
- Independently prioritize and schedule repairs for multiple robots in a fast paced environment
- Handle shipping and receiving of robots and/or parts for maintenance and repair
- Conduct regular inspections to identify potential maintenance needs.
- Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in industrial maintenance or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and equipment.
- Must be able to work alone or with a small team, and with minimal supervision
- Must be able to have good communication (oral and written)
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detai
- Must be able to lift heavy objects (30+ lbs) unassisted
- Must be able to travel domestically
- Must have work authorization in the United States
- Must have a valid drivers license
- Must have experience working with hand/power tools
- Not a remote position
- Fluency in English
Preferred (Not Required):
- Experience with building and troubleshooting electrical systems

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $62,000.00 per year
