The International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) is looking for a Video Producer / Graphics Creator candidate to tell compelling stories of our members through video and graphics. The ideal person for the job can shoot and edit video and still photography, but really shines on things like animations and created imagery. Flexibility, creativity and ability to work cooperatively within our 5-person video team in the Media Department is a must.
Representative Major Duties
· Works with the IBEW’s video team to create professional video content, including editorial, educational, and marketing materials.
· Has the ability to conceive a video or animation, plan logistics, record and edit a compelling, visually appealing finished project.
· Coordinates simultaneous ongoing projects and deadlines and works well with others under tight time constraints.
· Can shoot event and portrait photography.
· Assist in creating video and graphics for social media.
· Some travel is required, but amount is flexible depending on the candidate.
· Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
This position requires a minimum of 5 years’ experience in video/content production either in news, corporate, or nonprofit environments. Must know how to shoot video. Ability to shoot and edit still photography a major plus. We’re looking for someone who can create and edit projects using the Adobe Creative Suite. Familiarity with the labor movement or other non-profit environments is a plus, but not necessary.
The position will be based in Washington, D.C., with a hybrid work schedule and the requirement for some travel.
