Job Title: Outpatient Mental Health Therapist
Location: Denver Outpatient Center, Denver, CO
Program: Young Adult Outpatient Treatment Center | Partial Hospitalization Programming
Schedule: Full Time | Monday to Friday | No Evenings or Weekends!
Compensation: $57,500 - $68,000 (depending on licensure)
What You'll Do
As a therapist at Sandstone Care, you will play a vital role in our mission. You will:
- Provide high-quality and empathic therapy to individuals and groups, addressing the root causes of client's substance use and mental health diagnosis.
- Facilitate engaging and effective 3-hour clinical groups daily, covering topics such as coping skills, relapse prevention, and life skills.
- Develop and monitor personalized treatment plans, ensuring that each client receives the best possible care and achieves their recovery goals.

Qualifications:
- Clinical Expertise: You must have a Clinical Licensure in Counseling (LPC / LPCC), Social Work (LCSW / LSW), or Marriage and Family Therapy (MFTC / LMFT). We value your dedication to professional growth and your commitment to achieving licensure.
- All direct care staff must be CPR certified prior to beginning employment
- Education: You must have a master's degree in a relevant field, such as counseling, social work, or psychology.
- Experience: You must have previous experience with mental health treatment, preferably in a treatment facility in residential, partial hospitalization, and/or intensive outpatient setting.
As a therapist at Sandstone Care, you will be expected to demonstrate the following skills and abilities:
- Motivational Interviewing: You must be able to engage and empower clients through Motivational Interviewing, helping them discover their intrinsic motivation for change.
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT): You must be skilled in CBT, using it to assist clients in recognizing and reshaping unhelpful thought patterns and behaviors.
- Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT): You must be proficient in DBT, using it to equip clients with essential coping strategies, emotion regulation, and interpersonal skills.
- Documentation Skills: You must have strong documentation skills, paying attention to detail and ensuring clear and accurate records of client progress and care.
