Our Purpose:
The Ashford team is growing, and we are looking for our next Ashfordian! As a Master Plumber in Property Management at Ashford Communities, your role will ensure the efficient operation and maintenance of Boilers and plumbing systems within our residential properties. You will oversee all plumbing-related tasks, including emergency and regular repairs, installations, and inspections, to ensure our residents' safety, functionality, and comfort. Your expertise in Boilers and plumbing systems and your ability to quickly diagnose and resolve issues will play a vital role in maintaining the high standards of our properties and ensuring tenant satisfaction. By effectively managing plumbing operations, you will contribute to the overall success of Ashford Communities and help create a positive living environment for our residents.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Install, repair, and maintain Boilers and plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, and appliances.
- Inspect plumbing systems and identify any issues or potential problems.
- Collaborate with maintenance and rehabilitation teams to ensure proper installation of plumbing systems at our various properties.
- Respond to plumbing emergencies, including sewer back-ups and provide immediate solutions.
- Maintain accurate records of plumbing work performed and materials used.
- When needed, train and supervise maintenance and rehab staff, ensuring their adherence to safety protocols and quality standards.
- Stay updated with industry trends, regulations, and advancements in plumbing technology.
- Collaborate with other maintenance and operations teams to ensure efficient property management.
Required Experience & Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Master Plumber, with at least 5 years in a similar role.
- Valid Master Plumber license and certifications.
- Extensive knowledge of plumbing systems, codes, and regulations, particularly in the State of Texas and the City of Houston.
- Ability to pull required permits from the City.
- Proficient in reading blueprints and technical drawings.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physical stamina and the ability to work in various environments and conditions.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
Preferred Experience & Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent, 2-year Technical accreditation a plus!
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in plumbing and repair, preferably in a property management or real estate setting.
Working Conditions:
- Minimal Travel (<25% travel): May be required to travel. Trips may require air travel and/or overnight stay away from home for one or more nights.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, nights, and holidays. There is a potential to be on call during peak and seasonal periods.
- Frequent bending, lifting to 25 pounds, sitting, exposure to multiple external elements, and extensive walking throughout Ashford Properties.

Pay: $85,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
