Income Tax Manager:
Experienced tax professional that is responsible for assisting in the preparation of the income tax provision and income tax compliance within the organization. The candidate is responsible for understanding detailed tax accounting. The candidate ensures that tax compliance filings and related work papers are complete and accurate.
Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation of the interim quarterly effective tax rate.

Prepare quarterly income tax account roll forward reconciliations and any required tax entries.

Roll forward annual tax accounting provision workpapers and quantify prior year provision to tax return adjustments.

Apply knowledge of tax accounting principles to explain variances in the financial statement balances between reporting periods.

Provide tax documentation to financial statement auditors.

Work with service providers regarding state, federal, international income tax return preparation.

Prepare state apportionment workpapers including the revenue sourcing file.

Prepare workpapers for US International calculations including US foreign tax credit, FDII, GILTI, BEAT, E&P, and foreign income repatriation.

Roll forward tax fixed assets.

Calculate and file quarterly estimated tax payments.

Prepare tax cash forecasts.

Research relevant tax authority for state revenue sourcing, apportionment, tax rates.

Assist in the documentation and accounting for uncertain tax reserves.

Ensure tax notices are documented and resolved.

Provide information to taxing authorities for tax audits.

Quantify detail for property tax filings and foreign withholding tax reconciliation.

Complete other tax compliance.

Cross train with other income tax matters as needed.

Assist in various tax projects that are initiated.

Perform research and prepare technical tax memoranda.
Requirements
-
Bachelor's degree in Accounting
-
Master’s degree in Tax is desirable
-
7+ years of relevant tax/accounting experience
-
CPA certification
-
Excellent managerial, organizational, and verbal/written communication skills
-
Highly organized, with the ability to multi-task and to meet deadlines.

Accuracy and attention to details are critical

Willingness to take initiative and follow through on tasks, projects
-
Strong data reconciliation skills and general ledger understanding

Exposure to tax accounting software and tax compliance software
-
Experience with Great Plains software a plus
