Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Rental Leasing Agent to join our team. As a Rental Agent, you will be responsible for assisting prospective tenants with finding and leasing rental properties. This is a customer-facing role that requires excellent communication and customer service skills. Responsibilities include:
- Answering phones
- Responding to inquiries from potential renters
- Following up on leads for potential renters
- Following specific, prescriptive policies and procedures detailed in writing, perform background checks, income verification, and other application information verification to qualify or disqualify prospective renters
- Preparing leasing documents for potential renters using property standards and regulations
- Tracking the collection of rent payments, security deposits and other fees
- Keeping residents informed of any changes to rental agreements or upcoming property issues
- Preparing lease renewals
- Tracking maintenance requests
- Building a rapport with current tenants to give them personalized service
- Understanding of Fair Housing regulations and remain in compliance with all potential and current renter interactions
