**Job Overview:**
We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Clerk to join our team. The Payroll Clerk will be responsible for processing payroll, maintaining payroll records, and assisting with various accounting tasks. This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong background in payroll processing and accounting software.
**Duties:**
- Process payroll for employees accurately and timely
- Maintain payroll operations by following policies and procedures
- Prepare reports by compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and nontaxable wages
- Resolve payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information
- Update payroll records by entering changes in exemptions, insurance coverage, savings deductions, and job title and department/division transfers
- Provide payroll information by answering questions and requests
- Maintain employee confidence and protect payroll operations by keeping information confidential
**Skills:**
- Proficiency in using Paychecx or similar payroll software
- Strong 10-key typing skills
- Experience with accounting software
- Knowledge of accounts payable processes
- Familiarity with human resources functions related to payroll
- Basic understanding of accounting principles
- Experience in benefits administration is a plus
- Familiarity with Paychex or other payroll processing systems
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- Ability to work with HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems)
