Summary: Responsible for handling, moving, and storage of materials and product.
Essential Functions
- Provide assistance to the department in the day-today operation of moving materials
- Ensure all safety features on the equipment are working properly
- Stage and segregate product in designated areas; adjusting storage areas according to production and shipping requirements
- Timely notification and delivery of receipts to designated personnel
- Use moving equipment like forklifts and pallet jacks to safely and efficient move inventory around the warehouse.
- Document movement of materials through a transfer system
- Complete daily preventive maintenance checklist on assigned lifts
- Monitor inventory by completing counts as required
- Package inventory for safe shipping
- Assemble containers and crates, packs goods to be shipped and prepares identifying information and shipping instructions
- Take inventory, maintains storage area, organizes and places stock on shelves. Ensure area is secure at all times.
- Share ideas, improvements and recommendations for continuous improvement to help optimize results to improve safety and quality.
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Must be able to lift as much as 50 lbs. several times a day.
- Forklift and pallet jack experience strongly preferred.
- Must be able to stand for the vast majority of the shift.
- Willingness to work overtime to complete any duties as assigned.
- This is manual work requiring frequent sitting, bending, stooping, squatting, standing, pushing, pulling, lifting, and walking.
Shift Details
2nd Shift is M-TH, 4X10hr shifts, 4:45 pm – 3:15 am.
All employees are expected to work overtime hours as needed.
Overtime is typically twice a month on Fridays and are 8-hour shifts.
