Job Summary: Clover Phoenix Security and Consulting is seeking highly motivated and dedicated Security Officers licensed at Levels 2, 3, and 4 by the Texas Department of Public Safety. Our Security Officers are responsible for protecting people, property, and proprietary information by monitoring access, enforcing security protocols, and delivering outstanding customer service.
Overview: We are seeking dedicated Security Officers to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a background in security, law enforcement, or military service and possess relevant certifications such as First Aid, CPR, and conflict management.
Key Responsibilities:
Level 2 Duties:
- Conduct patrols and surveillance to monitor premises.
- Control access by verifying identities and issuing visitor passes.
- Observe, report, and document any irregularities or suspicious activities.
- Perform security screenings of individuals and belongings.
- Respond to incidents in accordance with Clover Phoenix procedures.
Level 3 Duties (inclusive of Level 2):
- Carry firearms and other defensive security equipment.
- Prevent and respond to threats with appropriate use of force.
- Apprehend individuals violating laws until law enforcement arrives.
- Operate security monitoring systems and emergency response equipment.
Level 4 Duties (inclusive of Levels 2 & 3):
- Supervise security operations and Level 2/3 officers during shifts.
- Investigate violations, incidents, and conduct disciplinary actions.
- Ensure legal and company policy compliance at the site.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular patrols to ensure the safety and security of premises.
- Monitor surveillance equipment and respond to alarms.
- Enforce property regulations and city laws.
- Respond to emergencies and provide assistance when needed.
- Complete detailed reports outlining observations and activities during shifts.
Essential Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to perform rigorous foot patrol duties for an entire shift.
- Capable of standing, stooping, bending, climbing stairs, and walking for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and move 30 lbs. unassisted.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Professional telephone etiquette.
- Ability to solve practical problems and handle a variety of situations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in basic computer skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
Qualifications:
- Valid State of Texas Department of Public Safety Security Officer License (Level 2, 3, or 4).
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 1 year of security experience (Level 4 requires 2+ years).
- Ability to pass a background check and drug test.
- Clean criminal record.
- Professional appearance and adherence to Clover Phoenix dress code.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or military is preferred.
- Possession of relevant certifications such as First Aid, CPR, and conflict management.
- Familiarity with CCTV systems and other security equipment.
- Strong communication skills for interacting with the public and law enforcement agencies.
- Ability to handle conflicts and emergencies calmly and efficiently.
