Job Description:

Utilize hands-on accounting experience and an in-depth understanding of accounting principles and company practices, performing complex accounting activities and financial analysis.

Perform regular tasks associated with the accounting, close each month with tasks such as account analysis, recording accruals, and preparing journal entries.

Assist with the preparation of monthly financial reporting package consisting of management reports, balance sheet, income statement, and statement of cash flows. Ensure that all reports are prepared accurately and timely.

Provide professional guidance to experienced accountants and staff accountants on a regular basis on accounting and financial reporting matters.

Assist accounts payable and other staff on proper recording of invoices, so that items roll into expected reporting lines.

Continually seek methods to improve efficiencies of our reporting and financial processes.

Respond to ad hoc requests as needed.

Perform all other duties as assigned.

Experience and Skills:

B.S./B.A. in Accounting, 5-8 years of accounting experience

Able to work independently and with others

Always looking for process improvements (e.g., improve efficiency of self and team)

Effective communicator who has excellent problem solving skills

Detail oriented, organized

Prior experience with account reconciliations and analysis required.
- Prior report writing experience

Understanding and experience with all financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, statement of cash flows).

Prior experience with the General Ledger including accruals, pre-paids, recurring journal entries and reclassification journal entries.

Prior experience with close process.

Inter-company processing experience is a plus.

Excellent Excel knowledge needed; Navision experience is a plus.
