Description:
The Maintenance Manager is responsible for keeping all Silver Vase equipment and infrastructure in working order. This individual should be able to utilize tools and software to proactively plan the maintenance work, rather than simply reacting to it. This involves conducting audits and reviews, working with outside contractors and giving recommendations to company ownership on how to improve existing infrastructure. Eventually, the Maintenance Manager may be heavily involved in developing procedures for new projects to help the company grow.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all employees and 3rd party vendors with preventive and corrective tasks
- Implement and develop maintenance asset management processes
- Creating readily accessible manuals and checklists for reoccurring activities
- Create and coordinate facility maintenance strategy and tactics
- Forecast and follow up on staffing, workload and performance results
- Supervise maintenance employees and quality of work
- Ensure all assigned maintenance activities are being performed safely and according to facility and corporate safety standards and policies
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and develop sustainable solutions for issues with equipment including PLC controlled equipment, plant electrical, hydraulic/pneumatic, ventilation systems and mechanical systems including motors, instrumentation, and distribution
- Assist in preparing facility capital plans and cost estimates for projects
- Coordinate installation and startup of equipment as required
- Coordinate equipment shutdowns with production
- Reports to Head Grower
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field (e.g., Engineering, Business Administration, Production/Operations Management)
- 5+ years' experience in an industrial maintenance environment, with 5+ years in a leadership role
- Knowledgeable regarding Industrial maintenance processes (e.g., preventative maintenance, material handling equipment, power equipment, facilities upkeep) and project management
- Experience or willingness to learn managing maintenance within an Operations Excellence environment (Toyota Production System (TPS), Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), Lean) with responsibility for developing processes, implementing programs, and ensuring deployment
- Certification(s) as a Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP) preferred.
- Valid driver's license required
- Must speak English and Spanish
