Contract Manager – Job Description
Summary
A successful Contract Manager will demonstrate a strong attention to detail along with the ability to discover potential risks for our company. The candidate will be responsible for the development, negotiation, and administration of all company contracts and will analyze contracts with an eye toward reducing costs and increasing profits, while ensuring compliance with the law. Our ideal candidate has previous experience managing contracts and is familiar with legal requirements and terms of use.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities of a Contract Administrator
· Serve as the primary point of contact for all contract-related inquiries, including but not limited to interpretation of terms and conditions, compliance with regulations, and performance of obligations
· Review, draft, negotiate, and execute a high volume of contracts on behalf of the company in a timely and efficient manner
· Advise internal clients on contractual rights and obligations, risk mitigation, and potential areas of exposure
· Develop contract proposals to support organizational goals
· Review contract estimates, including proposed materials, production costs, etc and determine whether they seem reasonable and accurate
· Ensure that all records are accurate and up to date
· Write contract letters and other communications and notices
· Attend meetings to assess progress on projects which are in motion, and take detailed notes to share with stakeholders
· Create regular status reports regarding progress on projects
· Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
· 5+ years prior experience in a contract administration role or a related field
· Exemplifies knowledge of contract law, accounting principles and finance
· Working knowledge of federal contracting regulations (FAR/DFARS)
· Has strong negotiation and mediation skills
· Coordinate all essential activity with legal Counsel.
· Provide knowledge of applicable government regulations in the execution of business activity.
· Contract negotiation experience with construction
· Possesses superior attention to detail in order to spot inconsistencies in contracts
· Has previous experience in customer service and strong communication skills
· Able to work productively independently and as part of a team
· Must have excellent analytical thinking skills and problem-solving abilities
· Previous experience as a project manager, or coordinating large projects is an asset
· Should exhibit strong organizational and time management abilities
Education
· Degree preferred
· Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM) designation preferred

· Normal office environment or may be exposed to noise if working in a production area.

Normal office environment setting or may be exposed to noise if working in or around a production area. Schedule is Monday through Friday, normal business hours. Constantly required to sit, use hands, talk, and hear. Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Position Location:
Position is onsite Monday through Friday (8AM-5PM) and not remote eligible. Only under special circumstance(s) will the person be allowed to work remotely and with express written consent of senior leadership.
Compensation:
Compensation for this position will be commensurate with the candidate's experience and qualifications, aligning with industry standards. The salary range for Dallas, TX, is also based upon geographical market standards for the industry and position in those areas.
There is a possibility of a bonus(es) based on individual performance and merit to be paid at the sole discretion of the company, but bonus(es) are not guaranteed unless outlined in writing in the offer letter extended to the candidate selected for the position.
