**Human Resources Manager**
**Job Overview:**
Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Human Resources Manager to join our dynamic team at our beverage manufacturing plant in Grand Rapids, MI. The HR Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of human resources practices and processes, ensuring the smooth operation of the HR department, and fostering a positive work environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HR management, excellent interpersonal skills, and a thorough understanding of the manufacturing industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Recruitment and Onboarding:
- Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract top talent.
- Manage the full recruitment cycle, including job postings, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding.
- Conduct orientation sessions and ensure new employees are integrated smoothly into the company.
- Employee Relations:
- Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns.
- Address and resolve employee relations issues promptly and effectively.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Performance Management:
- Develop and implement performance management systems.
- Administer performance review process and collaborate with department leaders to provide feedback to employees.
- Work with department heads to address performance issues and implement improvement plans.
- Compliance and Policies:
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Develop, update, and enforce company policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure adherence to HR policies and legal requirements.
- Training and Development:
- Identify training needs and coordinate training programs for employees.
- Promote career development and growth opportunities within the organization.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make necessary adjustments.
- Compensation and Benefits:
- Oversee the administration of employee compensation and benefits programs.
- Conduct salary surveys and recommend competitive compensation structures.
- Manage employee benefit programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks.
- HR Metrics and Reporting:
- Track and analyze HR metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Prepare regular reports on HR activities and present findings to senior management.
- Utilize HR data to make informed decisions and improve HR processes.
- Health and Safety:
- Ensure a safe and healthy work environment by promoting and enforcing safety policies.
- Collaborate with the safety team to address workplace hazards and implement safety programs.
- Conduct regular safety training and drills.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in HR management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
- Proficiency in HRIS and other HR-related software.
- PHR or SHRM-CP certification is preferred.
Working Conditions:
- This position is based at our beverage manufacturing plant in Greater Grand Rapids, MI.
- The role requires a combination of office work and regular interaction on the plant floor.
- Occasional travel may be required for recruitment events, training, and conferences.Top of Form
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
