General Summary of Job Duties:
Norton Lilly International’s Transportation Division, MACS Transport & Security, is seeking to hire drivers / warehouse for a variety of shifts. Shifts include but are not limited to late nights, early mornings, and weekend shifts. Must be at least 21-year-old, have an exceptional motor vehicle driving record (MVR), excellent communication skills, work well with others and be very flexible as tasks are constantly changing throughout each shift. Safety, reliability, and communication are the keys to the success of this position. Drivers also must have or be able to qualify for a TWIC card.
The Transportation Driver and Warehouse is responsible for transportation of crews and captains along with miscellaneous transportation tasks and warehousing duties. Duties include but not limited to driving, coordinating, and communicating transport routes, occasional office activities, warehouse, shipping and receiving and other related services for the company as needed.
Transportation Driver:

Responsible for providing safe, courteous transportation services for vessel crews and captains.

Picking-up / Dropping-off passengers / luggage in a variety of locations within the dispatched areas; Ports, Airports, Hotels, etc.

Map out driving routes ahead of time to determine the most expedient trips.

Listen to traffic and weather reports to stay up-to-date on road conditions.

Must be able to be on call to provide transport services.

Abide by all federal, state, and local laws, including all transport rules, guidelines, and safety regulations.

Maintains truck or van by completing preventive maintenance requirements and arranging for repairs. Ensure all transport vehicles are always in a safe working condition.
Warehouse – Shipping / Receiving:

Completes shipments by processing and loading orders.

Prepares orders by processing requests and supply orders; pulling materials; packing boxes; labeling and placing orders in delivery area.

Completes deliveries by driving truck or van to and from vendors.

Preserves safe and clean work environment by keeping area and workstations neat.

Completes reports by entering required information.

Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Moving incoming items to designated storage areas and maintain storage activities.

Follows detailed instructions, processes and procedures.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma/GED required.
-
Previous verifiable experience in passenger transportation required.

Previous warehouse / shipping and receiving experience.

Experience with forklifts / equipment maintenance.

STRONG customer service orientation.

Proven problem-solving skills.

First Aid skills and/or certificates are considered assets.

Must be at least 21 years of age.

Must have a valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle report (MVR).

Class C endorsement highly preferred and / or must be able to obtain within 30 days of hire.

TWIC card highly preferred. Or must be able to obtain a Transportation Workers Identification Card (TWIC) upon acceptance of position and / or within 30 days of hire.

Must be able to pass a Federal and State background screening.

Must be able to work daily, on call as needed, including some weekends, nights, holidays, etc.

Available after hours, on-call basis as scheduled.

Must be able to lift 50 pounds.

The Transport Driver will spend a significant amount of time driving. This includes being able to sit comfortably for extended periods of time both during a trip and on standby awaiting passengers. Additionally, there will be some bending/stooping, lifting, walking, standing, and carrying of transport items such as luggage, clothing, boxes, and personal effects of the passengers up to 50 pounds. On-hire times can vary greatly and are dependent on a number of external factors including the arrival and departure of vessels, airplanes, and ferries, therefore the manager will need to be able to maintain a flexible schedule to accommodate passenger needs and demand. This can include early morning and late evening requirements.
