Production Technician - Crane Assembler

We are looking for talented assemblers to perform tasks that are necessary to the production process. They aid in the fabrication and assembly of various component parts and products including truck axles, truck beds, hydraulic lines, electrical wiring, and mounting of various types of cranes, to build various types of equipment. They must also maintain tidy work areas and follow detailed instructions in order to meet safety and quality requirements.
As an assembler, you must be a team player, have an aptitude for mechanics, and have an eye for detail. A top-notch assembler should have the ability to comprehend and follow detailed verbal and written instructions, and have the ability to read detailed diagrams, blueprints, and other technical documents.
Technician Responsibilities:
- Using tools to assemble products.
- Interpreting technical documents, such as diagrams, schematics, blueprints, or other verbal or written instructions.
- Working with other members of the line or group in order to assemble products.
- Keeping a clean and tidy workspace.
- Meeting all safety requirements of the company and industry.
- Identifying any defective items and handling them according to established procedures.
- Using reason to solve problems as they arise
- Install hydraulic lines and hoses
- Measuring, marking, and performing mathematical calculations for drilling/assembling various components
- Performing quality checks on completed products.
- Conforming with state and company safety regulations.
- Completing job reports.
Technician Requirements:
- Attention to detail
- Excellent hand-eye coordination
- Skilled in mechanics
- Ability to lift object of 100 lbs. for assembly and alignment
- Willing to perform repetitive tasks while sitting or standing for extended periods of time
- Must have good eyesight, including depth perception, peripheral vision, and ability to differentiate between colors
- Capable of mathematical and engineering skills
- Work on trucks, truck mounted cranes and other equipment
- Keep shop equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, maintaining supplies, performing preventive maintenance
- Keeps supplies ready by working closely with the Parts Department and Production Manager on inventory
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading technical and regulation publications
- Enhance production department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests, exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
- Willingness to learn and gain experience with heavy-duty truck and truck mounted equipment in a production assembly environment, including welding, fabrication, heavy machine operation, and various other tasks.
