As the AWS Cloud Architect, you are an integral part of a team that works to develop high-quality architecture solutions for various software applications and platform products. You will drive significant business impact and help shape the target state architecture through your capabilities in multiple architecture domains.
- Responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our cloud computing strategy
- Ensure that the cloud infrastructure aligns with LSG’s operational needs and strategic goals concerning scalability, performance, security and cost efficiency
- Design cloud adoption plans, cloud application design, and cloud management and monitoring
- Monitor network costs and implement cost-saving measures where possible to optimize spending
- Designing scalable, reliable, and secure network architectures within the AWS ecosystem
- Collaborating with security teams to enforce network security measures and ensure compliance with internal policies
- Automating network deployments and operations using scripting languages, such as Python, and infrastructure as code tools, such as AWS CloudFormation and Terraform
- Regularly assessing network performance, address bottlenecks, and provide solutions for network optimization
- Developing and maintaining disaster recovery strategies and participating in regular DR testing to ensure a rapid response to network outages and failures
- Staying informed about AWS networking updates and service offerings, reporting back recommendations to stakeholders
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field
- Extensive experience (5+ years) designing, implementing, and managing cloud-based solutions on platforms such as AWS and/or Azure.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect preferred
- Strong understanding of cloud architecture principles, including microservices, containerization, serverless computing, and distributed systems.
- Hands-on experience with cloud-native development frameworks and tools, such as Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, and Ansible.
- Proficiency in programming/scripting languages, such as Python, Java, or PowerShell.
- In-depth knowledge of cloud security best practices, encryption methods, identity, and access management (IAM).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Must be willing and able to work in a hybrid office environment, with 3 days per week in office in the North America headquarters in the Irving, Texas
