Description:
Montessori Reggio Academy is seeking a dedicated and experienced Curriculum Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will possess a minimum of five years’ experience as an Early Childhood Educator with proven leadership success in creating an environment of learning for children, as well as professional development for the team.
Under the general direction of the Academy Director, the Curriculum Coordinator will provide onsite instructional support, mentoring, and coaching to teachers to enhance the quality of early care and instructional programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure that our proprietary Life Essentials curriculum is presented as intended; ensuring that teachers can effectively communicate the curriculum and what children are learning.
- Work closely with with staff
- Plan academy activities and actively participate in team meetings, training sessions, open houses, family/community activities, and planning sessions.
- Perform regular observations of classrooms to provide feedback and direction ensuring the Montessori Reggio Academy curriculum is utilized as expected and learning is accomplished.
- Actively manage the process for accreditation and maintaining standards and procedures.
- Ensure that quality control programs are sound and meet all State and Montessori Reggio Academy requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of five years of experience as an Early Childhood Educator.
- Proven leadership success in creating a learning environment for children and professional development for the team.
- Must meet all Texas State requirements for directing an early childhood center and have experience taking a center through national accreditation.
- Associate of Arts Degree or equivalent in Early Childhood Education (or in pursuit) is preferred.
- Must meet state minimum requirements for education and experience.
- Must be able to lift no less than 40 pounds on a consistent basis throughout the workday to at least waist high.
- Ability to quickly and safely evacuate groups of children in an emergency or preparation drill setting, with or without notice.
- Must successfully pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
- Essential skills include flexibility, creativity, proactive management, excellent organizational, and communication skills for interacting with children and adults.

Pay: $15.00 - $19.00 per hour
