Position Summary
Under minimal supervision, the Warehouse Inventory Lead is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of receiving, storing, and distributing custodial materials and maintenance supplies. The role supports maintenance efforts by ensuring proper warehousing and inventory of stock items, materials, supplies, and equipment, while also supervising staff and maintaining high standards of operation and customer service.
Position Specific Accountabilities/Responsibilities
Warehouse Operations :
- Oversee daily operations of the custodial inventory warehouse
- Maintain stock supplies, materials, and equipment
- Ensure efficient and effective distribution of supplies and materials to custodial teams and other departments
Inventory Management :
- Maintain accurate inventory information records and provide timely reports
- Track data related to warehouse operations
- Utilize electronic inventory records and create a preventative maintenance plan for excessive supply usage
Receiving and Verification:
- Verify that all shipments received for all supplies are correct, complete, and in satisfactory condition
- Resolve complaints arising from incorrect and/or damaged goods received
Software Utilization :
- Utilize WebTMA software to track all transactions in the FM warehouse, while encouraging staff to rely on the TMA app barcoding process for check out of materials
- Use WebTMA software for all work orders
Procedure Review and Recommendations:
- Review and recommend procedures and products that support efficient warehouse operations.
Purchasing and Expediting :
- Perform purchasing and expediting duties as needed
- Collaborate with FM Procurement unit as required
- Maintain file orders or requisitions for supplies and equipment
- Keep records of all FM Warehouse purchase orders
Staff Supervision and Training :
- Supervise staff and student assistants
- Provide training for staff and students as needed
Additional Duties :
- Perform other duties as assigned or requested

Requisite Qualifications
- Typically a High School diploma, trade school certificate, or equivalent experience. Incumbent will be expected to continue upgrading knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to keep abreast of regulation/policy changes.
- Three years in material warehousing and inventory control experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge of warehousing and inventory control systems, data entry, ten-key calculator, bookkeeping, record-keeping, filing, and general office practices and procedures.
- Proficiency in use of spreadsheets, word processing, and e-mail applications.
- Ability to communicate effectively and work well with faculty, staff, and students.
- Ability to read and understand inventory reports and determine costing and inventory levels.
- Must be able to lift at least 50lbs on a frequent or daily basis.
- Ability to operate a forklift and various small trucks.
- Highly developed organizational and leadership skills.
Requires a valid California driver's license . Must maintain a "satisfactory- " driving record as evidenced by DMV.

Salary range
$20.16 - $30.70 Salary commensurate with education and experience.
