Certified Medical Assistant
Duties:
- Perform routine clinical tasks to support healthcare providers, including taking patient vital signs, recording medical histories, and preparing patients for examinations.
- Administer injections and medications as directed by healthcare providers.
- Assist with minor surgical procedures and wound care.
- Perform basic laboratory tests, such as collecting and processing specimens.
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms and medical equipment.
- Schedule patient appointments and manage patient records.
- Provide patient education and instructions for at-home care.
- Assist with medical billing and coding.
Qualifications:
- Certification as a Medical Assistant required.
- Experience working in a healthcare setting preferred.
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Compassionate and empathetic towards patients.
